Hong Ko, a graduate of Fine Arts from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, was awarded the British Chevening Postgraduate Scholarship in 2002 and completed his master's degree in Typographic Studies at the London College of Printing. Currently Ko holds the position of partner at KL&K Design and serves as the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong Designers Association. He also served as the joint curator of Shenzhen Design Week 2021, solidifying his stature as a leading creative figure in mainland China.
Ko was awarded the “People of the Year” by Art & Design magazine in 2011, “40 under 40” by Perspective magazine in 2014 and “Ten Outstanding Designers Awards 2014”. In 2020, he won the Greater Bay Area Urban Design Awards and in 2023, Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism commended him, further establishing his position as one of the leading young creative figures in Hong Kong and mainland China. With his acquired professionalism, Ko has been featured frequently in media, and was invited to participate in seminars, exhibitions and professional judging.
Ko has vast experience in branding design and has won numerous awards. Influential branding projects include Li-Ning, Bama Tea, Auratic Ceramic, Yan Palace, Wugu Li-Ning, Bama Tea, Auratic Ceramic, Yan Palace, Wugu Mofang, and Shenzhen Airport Group, etc.
