Things that are seen everywhere in daily life may have changed completely after twenty or thirty years. Turning daily life elements into robots is the way for Felix IP to document the era.

Carrying on the Hong Kong Traditions
Felix created robot characters like the “hot dog” bus (non-air-conditioned bus) and red postbox in his illustrations a few years ago. Dreamexe Limited further launched the HongKongMachines Blind Box - Tourist Version, turning the illustration into figurines. They appeal to different age groups and achieve cultural inheritance. “When parents bring the products home, children become curious. Parents can then share childhood stories and about the old Hong Kong,” Felix explained.

With a great passion for robots, Felix chooses robots as a theme for his designs. In the age of the internet, the vast amount of information can cause confusion. He suggests that a designer should focus on a preferred style or theme and concentrate. “It takes time and energy to delve into something, and only when you reach a certain quantity of products will you gain recognition. This does not mean being static. Designers can stick to a style while listening to feedback and continually improve.
