From material selection to manufacturing, the philosophies of designers are reflected throughout the entire production process. Designer Yan-Ying TAM from St. James' Settlement Jockey Club Upcycling Centre designed the Upcycling Social Inclusion Wallpaper Trophy. Let design become a stage to demonstrate environmental protection and promote social inclusion.

Design = Spread of Messages
The trophies, made from recycled wine, wooden boxes and wallpaper, serve as a cross-disciplinary product themselves. “Through the trophy, the concept of social inclusion and environmental protection is demonstrated, and the message is conveyed to all walks of life, allowing the public to feel that environmentally friendly products made by people with disabilities are not only environmentally friendly but also of high quality," she explained.

People with disabilities have taken part in the production process. Having undergone sufficient training, plus the use of auxiliary tools, they successfully showcase excellent sewing skills. Some of them excel in spatial awareness while some specialize in sewing straight lines, making each work unique. The products made by these people, though with disabilities, is not inferior to similar products on the market in terms of quality, and even stand out as one-of-a-kind creations.
